[MPlayer-users] mencoder, libavcodec on powerpc

Hello mplayer users!

Has anyone created a file with mencoder and libavcodec on powerpc yet? 

With my Ibook G3 it seems that mencoder produces (mencoder -nosound -ovc lavc 
-lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4 file.mpg) only garbage, cause if i play the encoded 
file with mplayer, it announce that this file format is not 
recognized/supported.

If anyone has a clue, please help

PS: I'm using pre5!

on x86 everything works fine ;-)
