[MPlayer-users] Bug or Feature? No CDROM "shortcut" for VCDs anymore in 0.90pre5

Hi!

In MPlayer 0.60, the following worked perfectly:

  mplayer -vcd 1 /dev/sr2

This played track 1 of the VideoCD in /dev/sr2.

MPlayer 0.90pre5, though, /always/ tries to play from /dev/cdrom,
and only if that fails, it tries to play /dev/sr2 - interpreting
the device as file, which doesn't work, of course.

Of course, I can specify "-cdrom-device", but it was so much
shorter writing

  mplayer -vcd 1 /dev/sr2

than

  mplayer -vcd 1 -cdrom-device /dev/sr2

Is that a bug or a feature?

Best regards

  Marc-Jano
