Wow your a jackass :).
And a jackass who is wrong!
2.4 has only recently beocme stable enough for production use IMHO. What with
the swtich in mid series of the VM and everything. In fact most people would agree. 
Dont call someone a newbie cuase they are better informed than you are. 
.DLL == .so != kernel... your all messed guy, in fact you sound like a newbie :P.
