[MPlayer-users] audio output to two audio cards simultaneously

Is it possible to output audio from mplayer to two audio cards
simultaneously? If not supported directly is there any workaround?
I tried:
mkpipe a-pipe
mplayer -ao pcm -pcmfile a-pipe -nopcmheader movie.avi
and
tee < a-pipe /dev/dsp > /dev/dsp2
but I hear garbage, when I tried instead of tee:
esd &
esdcat a-pipe then I can hear audio OK, but the video is jumpy
(looks like if the option -dropframe is enabled)

So does anybody have a hint?
