Topic: BTW, we need to update those Russian fonts on the site (or remove
them completely at all). They are broken [or maybe I haven't RTFMed
carefully enough :-))]. Most of films subtitles in Russian anyway come in
microsoft-cp1251 encoding (guess why :-)) so fonts in koi8-r encoding
almost useless (w/o s/t converting). I have prepared a nosrc.rpm for
generating MPlayer fonts from an unicode TTF for /any/ encoding
(three parameters among others at the beginning of the spec:
font file, font name, and target encoding). Fonts from the MS Web Typography
fit well.
