What about using mplayer's RTP-stack for upstreaming?
It can already play RTP-streams. Is it difficult to implement RTP-upstreaming?
(Upstreaming with mencoder (e.g. mencoder [options] -o rtp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx)
and watching with mplayer ...)
