I cannot get to work XVideo output on my ATI Rage P/M Mobility card.
X11 output works well, but as you may expect, software scaling is a bit
too slow. I know this card is able to do hardware scaling, as other players
under Windows can achieve it.
Mplayer says:
VO: [xv] 160x120 => 160x120 Planar YV12
vo: X11 running at 1024x768 with depth 24 and 32 bits/pixel (":0" => local display)
Sorry, Xv not supported by this X11 version/driver
******** Try with -vo x11 or -vo sdl *********
FATAL: Cannot initialize video driver!
It seems that X server (4.1.0) has loaded XVideo extension (looking
at /var/log/XFree86.0.log).

Maybe the last warning is a baaaad thing ? ...

I have also compiled mplayer on other machine with Matrox card - xv output
works well. (I have no warning mentioned above in X log file.)
Any ideas, solutions ?
Thanks in advance,
Olek Salwa.
