Ok, I've downloaded source and checked...
It is no more, than a windows GUI window hacked around of some unix/linux
opensource codecs and libs:
- CSS and IFO parser from OMS
- mpeg2 encoder and decoder from MPEG Software Simulation Group
- ac3dec from Aarol Holtzman (libac3)
- MPADec from <copyright removed from files> afair it's from a japanise guy

I don't say it's wrong. MPlayer is similar, we're using libs from other
projects too. But you talked about him (dvdx author) as he wrote everything
from scratch and he is an mpeg2 expert... it's false.

He just clocked together a nice(?) gui and probably changed libs a bit to
fit his needs.

Ah, and about that nice P4 optimizations "he made":
