[MPlayer-users] mencoder and chapters

I'm trying to encode a dvd and the resulting avi is 1G, which will remain
too big, no matter what I do. The dvd has 17 chapters, so I want to encode
first chapters 1-8 then chapters 9-17. Is this possible? I know I can
specify the starting chapter with the -chapter option, but how do I tell
it where to stop encoding? I didn't notice anything related to this in the
docs. Or is there any other way to encode a dvd in two parts?
