Concurrent use somehow doesn't seem to possible at all... Neither with
Creative's OSS drivers - with them I even have to load a dsp patch and
standard PCM is disabled also, then.

I'm using alsactl or alsamixer, too. I'd be happy about some possibility
to control such a mixer channel/switch in any other mixer app or applet...

I'm using 0.9b12 right now, works fine for me!

Here you are. BTW, I also added "options snd-emu10k1 snd_extout=0x1f0f" to
my modules.conf.
