Hi !

Try lame alone. Run 'make test'. If the number you get>5000 or you have
'Inconsistency in buffer...' messages then you have a wrong version of C
compiler. I've tried GCC 3.0.3, 3.0.4 BOTH have failed! Use GCC 2.95.3!
(With GCC 2.95.3 'make test' says: approx. 400, or approx 40 if
optimizations  (MMX, MMX2, etc.) are totally disabled).
