The ability to fallback on video outputs. i'd like to use xv when 
possible, but to automatically fall back to sdl:x11 if xv fails. i've a 
two headed system, with only xv available on my geforce card, not the 
sis 6326. so erm.. yeah. that's it. an order of preference would rock.

also, i already asked.. but how DO i encode using XviD?? it's instaled, 
but there's no mention of how to acutally encode with it
