[MPlayer-users] ac3 3f+lfe decoding

the sound on a divx file i have (Amelie, superb film) is encoded in ac3 
3f+1fe format (at least according to liba52). playback of the sound is 
awful, and i *think* there's multiple streams being played back interlaced 
or something (the sound is in sync, but is much higher pitched and 
"fuzzy"). i've tried using libac3 instead of a52, but apprently ac3 is 
disabled... so is there anything to suggest? Xine (ick) plays it back 
properly, but either way xine can't handle microdvd subtitles.
