[MPlayer-users] Automatic scaling

Is there any way to switch off the automatic rescaling in mencoder when 
reencoding DVDs to DivX with libavcodev ?
Because all the widescreen movies rust get rescaled to fullscreen (egg faces).
I have read the manpage for mencoder and no switch described there (except -x 
and -y) seems to do what I want.
Is there any way to tell mencoder to keep the exact aspect ratio of the source 
file ???

mencoder CVS-020405-04:00-2.95.3 being used...
