   howdy,

i'm running mplayer on my linux box. I recently updated from mplayer
CVS-020412 to 0.90pre3 and mplayer stopped working (crashes). I'm using the
network Audio system for playback.

the old CVS version still works fine. The new version will crash with any
movie I tried. I tried pre2 and this also crashed. I don't remember but
there was some version in between my old CVS and pre2 which worked when
using audiooss and the -ao oss switch.

Conclusion: Somewhere after CVS-020412 the NAS support broke.

Greetings
  Christoph
