Yep, my first issue was addressed in the recent vidix fixes - I confirm
that now multifile works just fine.  Thanks for looking into this.

I also had another issue in the above thread - I asked about using
xvidix as a regular user.  As the docs suggested, I made the binary
suid, but I still get the error mentioned above.  Thoughts?  After
'chmod'ing the binary[1], I ran `mplayer -v -vo xvidix`.  Attached is
the output from that.
