[MPlayer-users] fps for tv encoding

Hi
That is a story:
I try to get it know from time to time.
I read P L E A S E polemic and diged then in docs few days.
It looks that for TV input, encoding option -ofps does not work.
I would like to slow down the -ofps to get the same value on start and end
of encoding.
Cause there are no key frames in stream encoded from v4l (to get best
performance I think) - limitation ofps just at the beggining apears to be
one way to synchronise avi with sound stream recorded with other stuff.
If I try set fps for v4l it works, but out stream is made with variable
rate; starts always 25 fps.
Any distortion in system (for example medusa activity - but not indexing -
it is off or alsa) takes encoding speed down.
Maybe I am wrong - maybe somebody knows some trick to join avi stream from
tv with sound without desinchronisation?

Questions -
how set -ofps for encoding from tv source (*if it is possible)
or
how stabilise it at constant level (*)

Other - is that possible to force 24bpp with mpeg4 libavcodec - in codecs
conf I read that it is supported, but I nowhere found how to set that.
Regards
Wieslaw
