Hello,

testing I would do with the -noburn option, you can look at the bin images 
with mplayer...

Is the offset you descriped all the same the whole movie, or does it grow as 
long as the movie takes?

In the version I have attached, the option -sync maybe can help you in cases 
the offset doesn't change.

mencvcd movie -dvd 3 -w -vnorm n -vfr 1 -sync 120

try it several times with different values 

Or you have to give another number to -vfr?!
