my report:

mandrake8.2 + cooker, newest kde3.0.1, athlon 1ghz, 256mb ram, vo=xv,
vfm=5 ( ffmpeg)

generally it works, 2 problems:

1. if artsd is not running, it doesn't work. i thought that an arts
using program should start the arts daemon if it's not running. at least
the other kde programs ( like noatun ) do that.

2. it's hard to measure but it looks like there is a little a/v
desynchronization... it's not so bat, the desync is something like 0.1
sec or so... and of course maybe i only think there is difference.. is
there a way to measure it?

btw. how can i find out what driver is sdl using for audio? i mean, if i
speccify -ao sdl, how can i find out if it is sdl:oss or what?

bye,
gabor
