[MPlayer-users] frame-accurate interval selection

Hello!

Since the -ss and -frames options exists anyway, wouldnt it be a 
nice-to-have and easy-to-do feature to have an option like 
-cut b1-e1:b2-e2:b3-e3:...
which selects (several) intervals b1-e1, b2-e2, ... (as frame numers) 
from the input file and only plays/encodes those?
I am aware that this wont work at just any frame position, but
seeking to the next index frame (GOP boundary) should do the trick.

Making the slave mode command "seek" pause playback after
doing the actual seek would make the video cutter perfect.

What do you think?
