[MPlayer-users] libncurses needed for mplayer?

Hi!

I can't seem to be able to figure this out: mplayer
needs libncurses, it says so when I start it up on the zaurus.
However, I can not find the word ncurses or curses in the cvs tree.
Does mplayer really need ncurses ? Or its just some other library
in mpalyer requering libncurses ? Is there an easy way to remove
that dependancy ? (I don't need the console interface, just - slave)
