[MPlayer-users] slice end not reached but screenspace end

I am seeing some interesting errors, but am having a hard time tracking
them down. They are similar to the ones reported.

I am using a vdr streamer, which basically takes a PES stream and
transmits it onto the lan. I then am using ffmpeg and ffserver to
reencode it to something more usable. Initially, ffmpeg gives a flock of
these:

stream rainbow|ffmpeg -map 0.1:0.0 -map 0.0:0.1 -i /dev/stdin

On the mplayer side,

mplayer http://server:7010/live.asf -vo null -ao alsa9:testing -cache 2048
- For playback from slow media (nfs/smb mounts, dvd, vcd etc) try -cache
8192
- Are you using -cache to play a non-interleaved AVI file? Try with
-nocache.
If none of these apply, read DOCS/bugreports.html!

- Most common: broken/buggy _audio_ driver. Workaround: Try -ao sdl or use
ALSA 0.5 or OSS emulation of ALSA 0.9. Read DOCS/sound.html for more
tips!
You can also experiment with -autosync 30 or other values.
- Slow video output. Try a different -vo driver (for list: -vo help) or
try
with -framedrop! Read DOCS/video.html for video tuning/speedup tips.
- Slow CPU. Don't try to play a big DVD/divx on a slow CPU! Try
-hardframedrop.

MPlayer interrupted by signal 2 in module: play_audio

MPlayer interrupted by signal 2 in module: enable_cache
alsa-uninit: pcm closed

now I don't know how far behind the video was from the audio, I don't know
what the items on the status bar mean, I suspect A is the time in seconds
the audio is playing and v is the time the video is. What is ct and what
is the remaining numbers?

I seriously doubt a 1.2ghz computer is too slow to play this. If the
encoder were out of sync, wouldn't it remain constantly out of sync? as
in, the sync delta would be constant. After about 5 minutes, the audio
just stops for no reason.

This is with CVS of mplayer and ffmpeg. Any help would be appreciated.
