Hi,
I think this is not a bug maybe, but I tried to fixed without results...
The problem is:
I want to encode dvd files previously ripped to my harddisk using
smartripper v. 2.41.
I have two discs with vfat, ntfs and ext2 partitions:

/dev/hdc2 on / type ext2 (rw)
none on /proc type proc (rw)
none on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620)
none on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw)
/dev/hdc1 on /carryd type vfat (rw)
/dev/hda1 on /discoc type ntfs (rw)

Well, my dvd files are in a ntfs partition: hda1
When I try to use mencoder with the parameters:
mencoder -dvd 1 -dvd-device /discoc/video_ts -v

I obtain this kind of error:

If I try to make the same in the vfat partition
I obtain:

And finally If I try to make the same in an EXT2 partition the thing works
ok, but the problem is that I have not enough space in the ext2 partition to
put all the dvd files there!!! :(
But look the mencoder response with a few dvd files in the ext2 partition:

This is a normal behavior I guess, because there are not the all dvd files
there.
I dont know how to make this work, please help me...
Thanks a lot.

Next I show you details of my system:
