[MPlayer-users] jumpy window - mplayer doesn't remember postions

Got a minor usability problem here:
when playing a playlist the movie window always jumps back to the center of
the screen when switching to the next entry. Is this a settings problem or is
my window manager to blame? Got Metacity 2.4 on Gnome 2.0, Slackware 8.1,
MPlayer 0.90pre9.
Furthermore MPlayer won't remember the last window/GUI postion when
restarting.
