[MPlayer-users] Video plays too fast (but plays).. sound okay. HELP!

Help me out here guys.

I played a nice little anti-MS video (QuickTime, 6MB, uses some sort of
Cinepak codec) on mplayer, which I compiled on a pretty fresh install of
Debian 3.0 (Potato) for x86. Xanim is installed, along with its libs,
and I believe my copy of mplayer includes support for them (I seem to
remember it finding them at compile time).

I ran ./configure with no options, so all the defaults were accepted.

When I played this video, the sound came out perfect-- not too fast or
too slow-- but the VIDEO ran quite a bit faster than usual. When the
video ended (prematurely), mplayer stopped and returned a prompt. (No
error.. it just thought the end of the video meant it was time to close
up shop.) The sound did not finish.

I have put the exact video file as well as a copy of my mplayer binary
AND a copy of the exact output of mplayer when I ran it up... all up on
the Web.

Also, I've uploaded a copy of "ldd /usr/local/bin/mplayer".

ALL THIS STUFF IS AT: http://jb.twu.net/mplayer-oops

Could someone tell me what I did wrong? (I feel terribly stupid) Or is
this a bug?
