To see if it actually IS a problem with mencoder, by seeing if it someone 
pipes up and says "yes, that was bug #xyz, it was been addressed".  If no one 
does so, perhaps it is a problem with win XP.

Thanks for that wonderfully constructive post.  What on earth is the point in 
insulting someone for trying to solve their problems?
