[MPlayer-users] Problem with audio when playing DVDs

Hi all,

I have SuSE 8.1 and MPlayer 0.90pre6-3.2.

When I play DVDs (and only DVDs, mpeg movies etc. are ok) I get no sound. I 
can see the movie but with no audio.

When running mplayer from command-line the following suspicious messages are 
displayed:

Detected audio codec: [a52] afm:14 (AC3-liba52)
Requested audio codec family [a52] (afm=14) not available (enable it at 
compile time!)
Couldn't initialize audio codec! -> nosound
