[MPlayer-users] mp3 rip

I have a divx file that I want to rip the mp3 track from. Will mplayer
do this or should I get a demuxer of some sort?  I tried
mencoder FILENAME -oac copy -ovc null -o whatever.mp3

but null isn't a ovc... and I cant just omit the ovc...  I was gonna use
a seek and duration to cut just a certain part of the mp3 audio,  I
can't find any flags in the documentation to cut the video.  I'm
probably going about this wrong...
