[MPlayer-users] mencoder pre8 crashes

Command:
mencoder file.mpg -o file.avi -oac mp3lame -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4
Both pre5 and pre8 crashes, in the middle of the file, always on the same
spot. 
Tried CVS but it doesn't build on my system. 
I'm using Suse 7.3 on a pentium 3. 
I am very willing to help out. 
There is no core file.
