[MPlayer-users] mencvcd sound out of sync

hi all

I have installed mplayer with the rpms from the mplayer web site, and also the 
mencoder as well.. Very nice software.  But when I try to use mencvcd to 
change a avi to a mpeg or vcd the sound goes out of sync slowly, and by about 
10 minutes it is very noticable.  
I have installed
MPEG Tools
Lame 3.93
divx4linux-20020418

I use the command

mencvcd test -vnorm (p or n) -vfr (2 or 3) file.avi

Any advice would be cool
