[MPlayer-users] mplayer can't open/init audio device -> no sound

try harder :-)

are there other sound-applications running that time?
whatabout ( i don't know if it's possible ):
	shutdown kde and go to the console,

start artsd manually
try to "watch" a movie without video:
mplayer -ao arts -vo null my.avi
