[MPlayer-users] No subtitles when playing vobs

I can't get subtitles when playing vobs.
mplayer keeps complaining that it can't open the idx files. No wonder
there are no idx files. The only stuff on the dvd that might be
related to subtitles are named *.bup and *.ifo. I've copied these to
the same dir as my ripped vob and point to them on the command line
with the vobsub option.

No DVDs that I've ripped contains idx files. Do I have to generate idx
files. How would I do that?
