[MPlayer-users] ChunkID mismatches with Sony DV file

Hello, can anyone explain this problem i am having playing an avi file.  I believe it is a Sony DV format file.
It plays fine in windows media player and is reported in there as using Sony DV codec.
But with mplayer (with -v option) it doesn't even seem to detect the stream and therefore doesn't seem to be a codec problem.
It just scrolls continuously with ChunkID mismatch errors.
Does anyone know what Matrox MQSink Filter is?  You can see below that it is displayed, i guess in the stream info.
Any help would be appreciated...  if it's just an mplayer unsupported format then let me know I will give the code a go.
