not sure, but the framerate doubles at 16bit. (gears at 16bit on my box runs 1200 +/- 50 fps and I think half that at 24bit) (incidentally if i crank up the clocks using nvclock (http://www.evil3d.net/products/NVClock) I can boost the numbers by 100-150fps) Jason
