[MPlayer-users] combination of -delay <negative #> -framedrop -vo dxr3

I find that with CVS-020907-14:33-2.95.3 if I use "-delay <negative #> 
-framedrop -vo dxr3" with a vcd or an mpeg I get no video; but I do get 
audio.  Also this is only for negative numbers less (further from zero) 
than -1.  I'm not using loopback on my dxr3 card either.  Unfortunately 
I need all these options.  Can anyone replicate this?
