[MPlayer-users] iMovie-created .MOV file exits early

Interesting.... I can convert my .mov to .avi fine - but only the amount
that I can play. i.e. mplayer and mencoder are reading it exactly the same
way. This is the way that I'm encoding my .mov to .avi:

 mencoder CastleWinchesterWalkthrough.mov -divx4opts br=1200:key=250:q=5
-o CastleWinchesterWalkthrough.avi -ovc divx4 -oac mp3lame -lameopts
br=192:cbr

	It just makes a perfectly good, short, playable .avi

I have exactly the same problem with a couple of MOVs, but they play
a lot longer, about one hour before exitig with 'end of file'.
(And that is not the real end of the file, checked with a MAC.)

There seems to be a program for MACs that converts AVIs to MOVs. I
tried to reverse this with mplayer, but it reports an error writing the
output file (!). Any idea, anybody ?
