[MPlayer-users] Including subtitkes in VCD

Anyone can give me a hint on how to include subtitles when transforming
a divx to a vcd CD ? 
Both, usual subtitles and ... -vobsub... subtitles.
Alternatively, how to include the vobsub subtitles, once obtained, in a
divx file using mencoder ?
For classical films like Shakespeare's ones, can be very convenient for
non "English-very-good-speaking" people  ...like me :-(
