Hi!
So there is a port of xmms to palmtops that use Qtopia
(have a look at: http://people.inf.elte.hu/isten/xmms.html).
I would like to make an mplayer plugin to it, so that
xmms+mplayer could be a perfect all round media player.

Do you have any advice of how in general this could be done,
also perhaps in a way that will allow new versions of mplayer to
be incorporated easily ? My first idea was to rape mplayer.c,
turn it into an xmms plugin, but when a new version of mplayer
comes, it has to be done again and again.
