[MPlayer-users] Installation problem

I am trying to install the new version of mplayer but get the following error 
message from KPackage:

file /etc/mplayer/codecs.conf from install of mplayer-common-0.90pre8-1 
conflicts with file from package mplayer-0.90pre5-1
file /etc/mplayer/mplayer.conf from install of mplayer-common-0.90pre8-1 
conflicts with file from package mplayer-0.90pre5-1
file /usr/share/man/de/man1/mplayer.1.gz from install of 
mplayer-common-0.90pre8-1 conflicts with file from package mplayer-0.90pre5-1
file /usr/share/man/man1/mplayer.1.gz from install of

file /usr/share/man/pl/man1/mplayer.1.gz from install of 
mplayer-common-0.90pre8-1 conflicts with file from package mplayer-0.90pre5-1
RESULT=1

What should I do? Can anybody help me?
