[MPlayer-users] Is there a way to keep proportion using -vo vesa

when I do:

Alt. 1) mplayer -vo vesa 
/home/gjermund/Movies/WideScreenTHXTrainIntro.Div-X

It stretches to the proportion of the screen, full screen though...

Alt. 2) If I play it in X-Window it plays at right proportion, but no 
full screen.
