i tried to run mencvcd on a lavc-encoded avi file, 311 megs, containing
about 55 minutes of video. i used the follwing commandline:
# mencvcd <some name> -cdsize 800 -svcdout -noburn <filename.avi>
the process took about 15 hours to complete. well, it didn't quite
complete because there was a power outage 13 hours into the operation,
but the temporary filesizes just before that seemed to suggest that it
would be another couple of hours.
is this normal? this is the first time i am using mencvcd, and it seems
unlikely that it should take this long. what am i doing wrong?
