if i ommit the driver=v4l, dummy driver is used instead of the good one, and a green
screen is showed.



Using redhat 9, Do you think this is an mplayer problem? Or a rivatv module problem?
xawtv appears to work, but produces a lot of debug msgs in dmesg:
