If it works in Linux, yes. But try to make the webcam first work with other
programs:

>$ xawtv -c /dev/video0
>This is xawtv-3.76, running on Linux/i686 (2.4.19-16mdk)

If xawtv doesn't work, then MPlayer likely doesn't work either. Or any
other program for that matter.

So your question isn't really MPlayer-specific. Maybe some other people
could help you, check if there's mailing list for your webcam drivers.
