Watch the output from mplayer on the console (assuming you use the
command line mplayer):
VIDEO: MPEG1 352x240 (aspect 12) 29,97 fps 1150,0 kbps (143,8 kbyte/s)
or
VIDEO: MPEG2 720x576 (aspect 2) 25,00 fps 9000,0 kbps (1125,0 kbyte/s)
