[MPlayer-users] Compiled Mplayer v0.90 Final, but it still says 0.90rc5-3.0.4!

I have an odd problem since I never had this problem before. I don't even
know if I am actually running the stable version of MPlayer on my Red Hat
Linux v7.2 box (Kernel 2.4.20). I even tried uninstalling (make
uninstall), redownloading the source, and viewed Changelog file to be
sure. I had RC5 before I got the final v0.90 version. 

Here's that I see when I run the compiled gmplayer/mplayer:

I looked at the sources after make command:
[ant at ANTux-AXP MPlayer-0.90]$ more version.h
#define VERSION "0.90rc5-3.0.4 "

How come it says rc5-3.0.4? Is this a bug (someone forgot to update the
numbera?) or what? If so, then how can I check to be sure I have the
latest version?
