[MPlayer-users] unable to compile

Hey all. Just subscribed and first-time reporting. Here's my info.
distro: red hat 9
kernel: 2.4.20-8
libc-2.3.2
X version: 4.3.0
gcc: 3.2.2
ld: 2.13.90.0.18
binutils: 2.13.90.18
cpu: athlon 1200mhz, 256 cache
vidcard: palit daytona nvidia geforce 4 Ti4200
soundcard: onboard SiS7012

my problem is compilation. i configure it with --enable-qtx-codecs but 
when I try to  run make, it ends with error 1, being "Too few arguments 
to function 'faacDecInit'" in function 'init', "Too few arguments to 
function 'faacDecDecode'" in function "decode_audio" on lines 173 and 
198. i can't compile due to this. any ideas?
