[MPlayer-users] how could i make mplayer start up using a different config-file?

hi,

does anybody know a way to make mplayer use an alternative configuration
file?

i want to create several scripts wich call mplayer with different
configurations for different movies (e.g. choosing a different audio track
and/or different settings for different movie-qualities). i want this to be
scripted so i can map buttons of my remote to the scripts.
