[MPlayer-users] Playing MPlayer-0.90 in Konsole

Hi,
I configured the source by trying "./configure" with no options, and 
then "make" (no options neither).
Then after playing a video by "mplayer file_name.avi/mpg/mov..." the 
konsole seems to cease to respond:
If I repeatedly press the "Enter" key, a "bash-2.05$" will display after 
the normal "bash-2.05$" repeatedly.
If i press the "up arrow" key, then "Enter", the video is immediately 
played again.
How can I do now?
