Quicktime is just a horrible horrible format. It's not that other
formats offer features it doesn't. Rather, they *omit* "features" that
are actually total brain damage, so that the player doesn't have to
emulate a whole operating system (macos) to play a simple movie!

Also, one huge show-stopper with quicktime is that incomplete files
are not playable or easily recoverable. I suppose this is an area
where MPCF is more featureful, in a good way.
