[MPlayer-users] Process X using too much CPU

Hi,
Are you using the gui?
 
I found a similar problem (X process using around 25% CPU) and suspect
the gui.

Try moving the mplayer-video window to another workspace (other than the
one with gui) and watch the video there.  

Also try viewing without the gui. 

If this helps then it's probably something to do with the gui.
What's causing this? I haven't a clue.
